These days you can hear a lot of classic rock fans saying that they miss the times when music was good, or that there aren't any rock n' roll bands like there used to be. They most likely haven't heard bands like Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown who, despite their youth, have toured with famous rock legends like Eric Clapton, B.B. King, AC/DC, and Aerosmith. Their first full-length album, Wild Child, was released back in 2013 and shows them as a southern/blues rock band with guitar riffs, rhythms, and melodies that make it nearly impossible to not at the very least bob your head, sway, and/or tap your foot along to.
The tracklist maintains the consistent theme of women; whether they're heartbreakers or potential lovers. But despite the limited subject matter, each song has the capability to give their listeners a good time, from the fast and upbeat songs like "Still Young," to foot-stompers like "Last One Leaving," and the ones on the toned-down and seductive side, like "Downtown Tonight." Frontman Tyler Bryant has especially been praised on his phenomenal guitar skills, shown in the album through the frequent, heavy presence of electric and steel guitars that play huge roles in the album's rugged and hard-hitting tunes that really establish this group as a modern yet classic-sounding rock n' roll band.
